If I walk West from my apartment, towards Brown, it's all stately Victorian houses. But just a block the other way it's very different: the bridge over the Seekonk river to East Providence, over disused railway lines, warehouses, an oil terminal...














Surprisingly, the bridge has a Wikipedia entry, where I learned about the highway it was supposed to carry (branching off and re-joining I-195). You can see the route cleared through East Providence for this with google maps.
